LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) — British singer Robbie Williams revealed plans for a Las Vegas residency set for early next year.
Williams announced that he’ll heading to Sin City in March 2019 for six nights at the Wynn Las Vegas. The shows start on March 6th and extend through March 16th.
According to Williams, the shows will include some of his biggest hits, along with some swing music and a few “special surprises.”
“I’m beyond excited to announce my first ever residency in Las Vegas,” Williams said, touting the residency. “To follow in the footsteps of some of the greatest entertainers of all time is a dream come true – I can’t wait.”
While Las Vegas was once viewed the place where old stars went to die, the city has become an entertainment destination in recent years, with numerous artists announcing high profile residencies.
This year alone, Britney Spears, Aerosmith, Lady Gaga, Lady Antebellum, Celine Dion, and Mariah Carey have announced plans for a residency in 2019.
While the residency was good news for Williams fans, the weekend had some bad news for his fans in Bueno Aires. Williams was due to perform an outdoor show at a sports stadium in the city on Nov. 10th but it was called off at the last minute due to dangerous weather.
“Tonight’s festival has been cancelled for health and safety reasons due to the terrible weather in Buenos Aries. Absolutely gutted x,” Williams tweeted.
Alas for the fans, the cancellation was not called quickly enough to prevent fans from standing in the pouring rain after being told they were not allowed to bring umbrellas to the event, according to local media reports.
“@robbiewilliams I know is not your fault, but I waited 12 years for this. Sorry, I just lost all my faith and hope to see u perform live #heartbroken,” one fan tweeted at Williams.
